Pay Per Post – Make Money Online
Have you ever heard of online promotions? Do you really know that there are many products waiting to advertise on your website? A quote from Wikipedia
PayPerPost (PPP) is a website which helps content creators such as bloggers, videographers, podcasters, and photographers find advertisers willing to sponsor specific content. The advertisers create opportunities (”opps”) that describe the content they are looking for (e.g. feedback, reviews, buzz, creative, video). The bloggers (sometimes referred to as “Posties”) then choose opportunities in their area of interest.
Once the blogger has written a blog post or posted a video that matches the requirements, PPP then reviews the post against its requirements (e.g. topic, tone, length) and PPP terms of service (e.g. disclosure required, no adult content), and h

Google Chrome is Now Available in Tamil
Good news for Tamil computer users. Google has released their Chrome browser with Tamil interface. Yipee! It’s available in Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya (on Windows Vista alone), Tamil, and Telugu. A Hindi version was available earlier. Eearlier we had Firefox 2.X with Tamil Interface. It was localised by Thamizha community. Later, Firefox came up with version 3.0 but we didn’t have Tamil interface for it. During this time Firefox 3.0 was released with Sinhala interface. Later University of Moratuwa worked on and come up with a Sri Lankan Tamil locale interface. Where you need to install English interface, later on top of it you can install the Tamil interface. Now we have Firefox 3.5 with Tamil interface, but still it’s a Release candidate. So it may be an unstable product. Now it seems Google has released the browser for most of the major Indian languages including Tamil. Important part of the help pages of Google Chrome also have been translated into Tamil. But unfortunately they’ve used, Taminglish (Tamilised English words) for some vocabulary. This is often a criticism raised against Google’s translations. You can grab a copy of your Google Chrome Tamil from Chrome website.
HostGator Web Hosting Review and cupon
HostGator is one of the leading web hosts online. What sets them apart? Let’s look at some of the key features that have people so happy with their service. After all, they’re an increasingly popular web host provider–so what makes them so special? Before starting, I want to mention that I have been using hostgator for more than one and half year and 10 of my sites are hosted on same account. I never had any problems. If you ever have problems, HostGator customer care is there for you. Their customer care is very powerful and available 24*7. Domain Name HostGator allows you to host an UNLIMITED amount of websites. You can host one site or you can host 1,000–this gives you unlimited possibilities when it comes to growing your site and business online. Many web hosts only offer 100 sites at least, with HostGator there is no ceiling to limit your growth. Space / Storage Storage is 100% unlimited. This can be great if you want to host your websites or personal family albums. Having your own web host allows you to host files of any kind for remote access. Keep your websites and businesses hosted on your HostGator account and access your files from anywhere–absolutely NO limit to how much you can store. Bandwidth HostGator bandwidth is completely unlimited. This means you can upload and download files from the server, access web pages and files as much as you want and never exceed your quota. This can be critical for people who anticipate large amounts of traffic. You will never have to worry about getting capped or charged extra money for going over your limite, since there isn’t one! Server Type HostGator allows you to choose different server types. You can choose between a Linux web host or a Windows based web host–the decision is yours. This is a really nice option since many places don’t let you choose between server type. Databases MySQL Databases hold valuable information and are the lifeblood of many websites. If you are setting up any dynamic content you will surely need to use a database at one point or another. Luckily, HostGator offers unlimited SQL databases. Uptime HostGator is reknowned for their consistent uptime and security. If you ever experience an outage you can simply contact support for a prompt solution. Pricing HostGator is great because they have consistently affordable pricing. Sure, pricing isn’t a huge deal anymore so many hosts are able to offer great deals by splitting up servers into shared accounts, but HostGator pricing is much better due to the fact that they offer low prices on their dedicated and virtual-dedicated servers–something that isn’t so common. You can enter into a HostGator agreement for as low as $5 a month. Uptime HostGator is reknowned for their consistent uptime and security. The world is waiting for his next move. Here some videos used to promote obama. We all love you senator, better call Mr. President. YES WE ALL NEED A CHANGE

[UPDATED] Yahoo’s Messenger in FaceBook – Official
Earlier I wrote about how Google is getting addicted to Twitter. Now Yahoo getting addicted to FaceBook. Yahoo officially releases a facebook application to access yahoo messenger in facebook. To add a Pingbox to your page, visit the Yahoo! Messenger Pingbox application page on Facebook. The same customization tools are available in the Facebook version, so you can personalize your online and offline greeting, choose from dozens of designs, and if you wish, require your visitors to give themselves a nickname before they can IM you. Earlier this week I wrote about how to add Yahoo Messenger to your Facebook profile. It’ll enable the profile visitors to chat with you via yahoo messenger, even though they are not signed into Yahoo Messenger. People have complained yahoo that they are always shown as offline even when they are online. This is because your Yahoo! network presence being set to show you as offline. To fix it, be sure you’re logged into the Yahoo! network (e.g. you see your name up at the top of a Yahoo! page) and then click the link below. Hitting that link will toggle your online presence back to “on”. Your Pingbox will then show you as being available when you’re online in Yahoo! Messenger. Note that you’ll only show as online in your Pingbox when you’re signed intoYahoo! Messenger 9.0, Yahoo! Messenger for Mac, or Yahoo! Messenegr for the Web. Signing in on a mobile device or to IM in Yahoo! Mail will not show you as available on your Pingbox. IMPORTANT: Changing your Yahoo! network presence to online also means that you will be shown as online within other Yahoo! sites such as Yahoo! Groups, message boards etc. – anywhere the online presence indicator ( http://presence.msg.yahoo.com/edit/config/edit_identity?.set=1&.opi=0 Note: After you click the above link, you’ll be taken to a blank, white page. That is by design. You won’t see any visual confirmation of the change.
With the Pingbox app, your friends can IM you from your profile page even when you’re not on Facebook.
Firefox “The MOST used browser in Europe”
There are enormous numbers of complaints over Internet Explorer for not adhering internet standards. IE is a product of Microsoft and Microsoft always had its own way of working with technology. They don’t care about the standards set by the industry but they’ll set their own standards, then only they could control the market. Microsoft IE came to market to compete with Netscape Navigator and they are pretty successful as Navigator production line was closed down last year. In the line of victory Microsoft has earned good number of enemies such as Linux, Firefox, Apple etc. Consecutively several years, IE continues to be the market leading browser software in the cyber world. Slowly but steadily Firefox started to eat the market share of IE. Later Google’s chrome also joined the battle and caused severe damage to IE. According to Stat Counter web, for the first time in the history of world, Firefox has beaten IE in Europe. Today Europe may be tomorrow it can be Asia or North America. It’s been almost 2 years since I forgot IE. I love Firefox and will stick with it. What I love most in Firefox is the wide range of Add-ons they offer. Is this the beginning of an end?? (Yeah… for Microsoft)

Another WP PLUGIN Week from Binny
You may wonder what the hell this guy is talking. Actually a LAMP specialist dedicated for WordPress made WordPress Plug-in last December for about a week . Last time he made six WordPress plug-ins just for the WordPress community in just one week. Binny is good friend of mine and a regular reader of my blog. Once again he has prepared to launch another WP Plug-in week. Actually he has released his first plug-in Weather Man. You may ask me, what is weather Man? Weather Man shows the weather as a widget in the sidebar. You can add the widget using the Widget page under Appearance. Or you can add it in a post using the [weather-man] shortcode anywhere in the post. It uses Yahoo’s Weather API. Don’t just under estimate his work. Last time, his WP Plug-in week was featured in Blogging Tips. Let’s download and test his Plug-in and encourage this young dynamic WP developer.
Binny’s blog answers the question
Windows Live Messenger in Tamil
I went to download live messenger to chat with my friends and found out the Live messenger is available in Live Messenger in Tamil Tamil too. You can select Tamil as language in right hand side drop down list and download it from Live messenger site. Along with Live messenger, other programs such as mail, writer also coming in Tamil. Once you started the installation it’ll proceed as shown in the figure. You can also check out their FAQ section also in Tamil. I thought yahoo will release Tamil messenger first but apparently its Microsoft who taken the lead on localization. Happy to see most of online products are getting localized into Tamil. I can give you several examples such as Tamil WordPress, Google products such as Gmail, Google Docs, Orkut, and Facebook etc. Hope to see more wide presence of Tamil in virtual world in near future.
Airtel HSPA – DATA Connection – FAQ
1. What is Airtel HSPA? 2. Can I get one? 3. How much per month? 4. How much the USB modem / Dongle costs? 5. What about download limit and FUP? 6. Better than Dialog? As far as I hear from my friends new Dialog customers also are getting the speed around 800Kbps. 7. Airtel HSPA is cheaper than Dialog HSPA? 8. Are you gonna change from Dialog to Airtel? If the Dialog continue to keep the Fair User Policy (FUP) and download limit then probably I’ll think of switching to Airtel HSPA New question added as per request from readers 9. Can I use 3G mobile as my modem?
Airtel HSPA is using 3.5G technology to provide wireless broadband to your machine. Its very useful when you’re on a move.
Yes. But make sure you’ve got 3.5G (HSPA) coverage in your area atleast 3G coverage in your area.
1500 LKR per month before tax, and you need to pay 500 LKR as activation fee. With dialog you need to pay around 2000LKR as deposit.
Modem costs 9,000LKR – 10,000 LKR. With dialog you can sign a 6 months contract and buy the same modem for just 5500LKR.
No download limit in Airtel unlimited package and no fair user policy, therefore you can download as much as you want.
mmm… that’s a million dollar question
It seems Airtel HSPA is cheaper because unlimited package of Airtel is 1500 while Dialog unlimited package with FUP and download limit is 3000 LKR. Now you decide
For the time being NO, because I have 6 months contract with Dialog and I’m getting around 2.0 Mbps speed with my Dialog HSPA connection.
Yes, you can use 3G Mobile as your modem. You need to connect your mobile with your computer using data cable.
in Unicode Tamil Online
Before starting, I have a small request. Please activate support for Tamil in Regional Language Settings. When you’re in net cafe or office where you don’t have access you can use following online Tamil Unicode writers. 1. Google Transliteration 2. Suratha’s Puthuvai Ezhuthi 3. Tamil Key (for Firefox users) 4. W3 Tamil Keybord (Tamil 99 Layout) 5. IIT’s Tamil Keyboard 6. Tamil Friends
This tool introduced by Google and now this feature available in Google products such as Gmail, Orkut etc.
This tool is for phonetic users and Bamini layout users.
This tool can only be used in Firefox. This is a one good Firefox addon all Tamils should have on their Firefox browser.

Just like other online Tamil writers. It’s using Phonetic layout.
This site offers Tamil 99, Type Writer, Phonetic layout
WordPress.com Search Engine
We have conventional Search Engines such as Google and yahoo but one year back WordPress.com has come up with a Search Engine which can search within WordPress.com. I don’t see a valid reason for this, according to WordPress.com it’ll show the post in the result once it’s published, in other words instantly. I don’t think this initiation will become popular because even Google can fetch your blog update within 10 minutes. I have seen and amazed on how Google index posts from our blog so quickly. In the other hand you have enough options in Google where in WordPress.com search haven’t got any advance searching feature. May be WordPress.com could have extended their search to other self hosted blogs too. It would have brought much wider audience to the search Engine. This is only just a WordPress.com search engine, nothing much to talk on this feature. PS: Tamil interface also available for WordPress.com search
Four Sites for Sending Free SMS to Sri Lanka
1. Wow.lk (Whole Sri Lankan network) 2. sms.mayuonline.com (Mobitel and Dialog only) 3. http://sms.kaputa.com/ (Mobitel Only) 4. http://www.iguys.org/ (Dialog, Mobitel & Suntel)
This service is powered by Suntel, who is a telecom provider in Sri Lanka. The most reliable web based SMS service in Sri Lanka.
This site is running on the concept of email to SMS. I wrote code in PHP for this site.
Only Mobitel service is working. Dialog service is not working.
They’ve got suntel too, interesting

Enable & Write in Sinhala Unicode
here are many of my friends who study with me in university are happy with English and they don’t wanna read or write in Sinhala, over the internet. They keep on asking “how did you type in Tamil machang?”, but they’ll never make an attempt to write in Sinhala over the net. Soon lot of people, who don’t know English will also come to computer especially for internet. In that time they should have a proper support or a proper base in their own language. Comparatively in Tamil, there are many communities working actively to accomplish these kinda tasks. In Sinhala, I hardly see a community that work with a will. I think at least now you guys should start to work on this matter. First of all, you should be able to read and write in your own language. In Vista, it has a built-in support for Sinhala but in Win XP you need to install an extension pack. . Don’t ignore it. Follow the link and activate the Sinhala Unicode in your computer. http://www.siyabas.lk/sinhala_how_to_install.html Good luck
BBC College of Journalism in Tamil & Sinhala
College of Journalism program is launched by BBC in Sinhala and Tamil. They’ve already launched this program in many languages including Russian, English, French, and Arabic etc. Also BBC says “This is just the first step, we would like to see these pages grow and become a more detailed introduction to the language of Journalism.” Most annoying thing I found is BBC Sinhala’s site is in English while Tamil, Hindi sites are in respective languages. Even this College of Journalism is launched in English by BBC Sinhala while BBC Tamil launched in Tamil. When I roughly go through, I came across many interesting stuff related to journalism such as pronunciation, choosing correct word etc. Quote from Tamil Site Quote from Sinhala Site The BBC College of Journalism and the World Service are proud to launch special language guides for: Sinhala, Tamil, Bengali, Burmese, Hindi, Nepali, Tamil and Vietnamese

Vista and Office 2007 in Sinhala
Microsoft has released Sinhala interface for bothWindows Vista and Office 2007. This is the happy news for Sinhala windows users. I think this is the first time Microsoft offering their products in Sinhala. This pack will help most of the rural area people. Those who don’t understand English, those who can understand only Sinhala can get the benefit out of this product. Those who already adapted to English interface will have hard time adapting to this Sinhala interface. PS: Windows XP, Vista and Office 2003, 2007 Tamil interfaces are already available online and users can download it.
